Accessible Information

The Accessible Information Standard is a new law to make sure that people who have a disability, impairment or sensory loss are given information they can easily read or understand. Please inform a member of staff if you have any communication support needs. You need to help us make sure we het things right for you.

We support the NHS Accessible Information Standard, and endeavor to identify, share and meet any of our patients’ special communication requirements.

The accessible information standard aims to ensure that patient (or their carers) who have a disability or sensory loss, receive information they can access and understand, for example in large print, braille or via email, and professional communication support if they need it.

Individuals most likely to be affected by the Standard include people who are blind or deaf, who have some hearing and/or visual loss, and people with a learning disability. However, this list is not exhaustive.

If you feel that this applies to you or someone in your care, please inform a member of our reception team, and we will then do our best to meet these needs.
